Who are we?
We are the Master Knights Empire
Ok so that sounds a lot more serious than what we are. We are just geeks who enjoy Video Games and other aspects of Geek culture. Video Games, Table Top Games, Anime, Gadges, Super Heroes and Action figures we love it all.
We started out as a YouTube Channel just showcasing some retro games. Now we are more interested in building more of a community, while still keeping our Retro Games roots.
Why Master Knights Empire?
A couple of reasons:
- Knights are coolÂ
- Knights tend to be a big part of Geek Culture
- Our founders are from Milwaukee, WI and wanted to have the MKE name on here
Do we have a Motto?
Yes we do!
“HAEC EST VIA NOSTRA”
It translates to “This is our way”.
Originally I just wanted to have something fun like the Mandalorian “This is the way” but I decided to change it because the more I thought about it, the more I felt this motto was needed.
Very often many of us on the geekier side are made to feel there is something wrong with the way we tend to enjoy some fairly safe and harmless hobbies. There is nothing wrong with being happy playing some games at home or having a movie marathon with friends. So what if we enjoy things like Star Trek, Star Wars and Doctor Who!
So yea, this is our way and we are not ashamed of it.
What is the YouTube Channel about?
The YouTube channel started out with a simple idea. Pick a game and play it for at least 10 minutes.
If the game is fun and we wanted to keep playing it for longer, that’s fine.
If the game was not fun then we would have some pretty bad 10 minutes lol. But yes, the idea is to pick some games we’ve never played before or games we have played and wanted to share.
One thing I’ve always tried to do with the Channel is to show the game as close to the original as possible. Meaning that I try to stay away from Emulators. I am however OK with using FPGA or actual consoles.
How can I join this awesome community?
As of right now there are two ways to join and interact with the community, one is our Forums and then of course there is the YouTube channel.
